In exactly 58 seconds shorter than The Miz would manage it four years later, Edge captured the WWE Title from a legitimately knackered John Cena at New Year's Revolution 2006. Cena had just wrestled a near 30-minute long Elimination Chamber match and lastly beat Carlito to retain his gold.

Then, the sweet sounds of Alter Bridge blared through Albany air and kicked off Edge's memorable main event obsession with being champion. In a stirring 106 second spell, the 'Rated-R Superstar' became a made man and secured his space in WWE's history books with the first ever Money In The Bank cash-in.

Much like Miz, Edge stared at the WWE Title like he was 10 years old, Santa had been and the jolly fat man had delivered every Christmas gift a young Canadian could wish for. Despite being a heel, and the soon-to-be-established opportunist nature of his win hanging over the moment, fans could see that meant the world to him.
