11 Ups & 1 Down From AEW Dynamite (7 Sept)

8. Following Up On The Acclaimed

Structurally, the segment wasn't anything to write home about, but that AEW is running with The Acclaimed following their breakout performance at All Out is a very good thing indeed.

The promotion is often guilty of letting things cool off through inactivity as soon as they have heated up. Max Caster and Anthony Bowens entered the performance of their careers at All Out, sending their overness through the roof against Swerve Strickland and Keith Lee, who were as effective as heels as The Acclaimed were as babyfaces. It wouldn't be uncommon for Caster and Bowens to now go missing for a few weeks, losing much of what they gained on Sunday.

But that isn't happening. The rematch is booked for Grand Slam - and AEW is striking while the iron's hot.

Swerve interrupted The Acclaimed before Caster could get a bar of his rap out, drawing big heat in Buffalo. Caster, Bowens, and Daddy Ass are coming for the gold, now, and they have more support behind them than ever before.
