11 Ups & 3 Downs From Last Night's WWE NXT (Nov 13)
Downs...
3. Rush Job
More classic Cruiserweights than Cruiserweight Classic, NXT nearly pulled off a double turn by accident following Lio Rush's win over Angel Garza.
Booking the challenger to be the victim of inefficient refereeing rather than Rush's match-winner, the finish betrayed an utterly sensational match that should have ended clean as the pristine sheets that featured in those daft 'Man Of The Hour' segments when he first debuted.
Furthermore, Garza's no-sell/sell forgetfulness let the moment down. Aggrieved with the referee, he shot straight up as if he hadn't been hit at all. This sloppiness only contributed to the loud boos coming from the Full Sail crowd. They were either for the cheap finish, for Rush's celebrations, or for the character of "idiot referee". All of the above are less-than ideal.
