11 Ups & 4 Downs For Impact Wrestling In 2020 (So Far)

7. Mr Impact Wrestling

Without any doubt, Moose is one of the most underappreciated in-ring talents of the last few years. An agile big man, the former NFL offensive tackler backs up his impressive work between the ropes by simply being the most charismatic guy in any room he enters. Despite all this, his more recent run in Impact Wrestling has perhaps been his best work yet, with the 'Mr Impact Wrestling' persona being superb.

The way Moose constantly berated the older era of Total Nonstop Action, only to be met with several former TNA stars, made for some exciting viewing. You were left wondering who was going to show up next, and had Impact's planned TNA show went ahead over WrestleMania weekend, then it's possible Impact could have had a big blow-off to the whole story other than Kid Kash. That said, Moose bringing back the TNA World Heavyweight Championship at Rebellion in the absence of then-World Champion Tessa Blanchard added a whole new layer to the 'Mr Impact Wrestling' character.

Nothing too major has occurred thus far with the title being reintroduced aside from Moose forcing ring announcer David Penzer to give him special champion introductions every time he makes his way to ringside. With a title defence against Tommy Dreamer set for Slammiversary, alongside the mysterious return of a former World Champion, perhaps this is the time for something big to happen with regards to Moose and the TNA title.
