12 Extreme WWE Moments You Didn't Know Were PG

3. Matt Hardy Confesses To Repeatedly Trying To Kill His Brother - SmackDown 2009

Like the Triple H-Randy Orton examples, this was fairly early in the PG era, on the road to WrestleMania 25. For several weeks in 2009, Jeff Hardy's life was made a living hell. His pyro went off in his face. He fell down stairs at an arena. In real life, his trailer burnt down, taking the life of his dog, and it was worked into the storyline. Someone had it in for him. It was believed by many fans to be the returning Christian, but he showed up on ECW with little fanfare. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aA3bTAe0yRA Instead, It was Jeff's brother Matt. He turned heel to cost Jeff as title match and subsequently took credit for everything that happened for Jeff, even flashing the dog's collar. Being that this is pro wrestling, he was not arrested after his public confession.
