7. The Lunch Mob
It’s no secret that Becky Lynch adores dodgy wordplay and all manner of cringeworthy jokes and gags. After all, a good half of her promos involve threatening her opponent via the medium of the pun.
A card-carrying member of the Lynch Mob, I’ve been a fan of her high-energy mouthing off since we called ourselves the School Of Hard Knox*. No other female superstar has Becky Lynch’s casually brilliant gift of the gab, and few superstars of any gender make promos look as effortless.
Here, interviewed backstage by Rich Brennan concerning her feud with Australian submission machine Emma, we’re treated to what Michael Cole would no doubt call ‘vintage Lynch’, as Becky refuses to properly engage with Brennan’s questions while finishing her salad, indicating the contempt she feels for her opponent.
