Naomi and Natalya, even in having SmackDown Live!'s biggest (and only) women's match at SummerSlam, are not even the headline attraction in their own contest.

Since controversially winning the first ever Money In The Bank match then snaring the briefcase yet again in an even better do-over, Carmella has been the highlight of the division alongside infuriating sidekick James Ellsworth.

Furthermore, every aspect of her act has improved in short order. On the microphone, she cares far more about her own agenda than Charlotte or Becky Lynch, and between the ropes she's rocketed beyond Lana and Tamina, who continue to circle the division's drain.

With Baron Corbin's failed attempt fresh in everybody's mind, SummerSlam will mark a sweet homecoming of sorts for the 'Princess of Staten Island' as she cashes in on either Naomi or Natalya to conclude a surprisingly prosperous maiden year on the main roster.

For the match itself, expect half-decent action to play out mostly to silence, tacitly encouraging Carmella's late strike. It would be very WWE to finally put the title on workhorse Natalya only to have her lose it seconds later, but having already played herself out as a heel yet again, a default turn might not be the worst thing for the Hart Dungeon graduate.
