The Kane retirement rumour has existed for so long that it has to be considered an urban legend at this point. It has literally been said for years that he's imminently going to hang the boots up. Fans point to Kane's age (he's currently 47) and the fact that he's been doing this for two decades. Logic says that his body should be pretty banged up by now. But he keeps on going. He still works consistently and usually to a good standard. Another reason the "imminent retirement" keeps coming up is because he's got so much going on outside of WWE. With an insurance company and political lecturing, he's got plenty of reasons to give up the road. Why People Believe It: Kane is nearly 50. If you say he's close to retirement, you're going to be right eventually. Should We Believe It: All good things must come to an end. Kane turns 48 the month after WrestleMania 31 and it has to be on his mind. But don't rule him out just yet.... there's a reason that Triple H calls him "The Constant" in WWE.
