12 Superstars And Divas WWE Creative Have Completely Abandoned
3. Fandango
Being stuck with this kind of gimmick meant that Fandango was never going to find his way into the main event scene, but it's hard to believe his career has stalled in such a big way after beating Chris Jericho at WrestleMania and gaining a fair bit of traction with his catchy theme song. Unfortunately, it was a dreaded love triangle storyline which seemed to spell doom for this Superstar, while an ill-advised Salsa dancing twist on his character also crashed and burned in a major way. Now, Fandango is yet another WWE Superstar who has disappeared from television. His original dancing gimmick is one which should have really had some longevity as an entertaining midcard act, but WWE Creative's attempts to mess with that would likely mean that bringing it back now would feel like a retread of stale ground. A big problem for Fandango is that his dancing often overshadowed what he did in the ring, and with so many fresh faces coming up to the main roster from NXT, you have to believe that his absence from WWE programming is a sign that WWE Creative has very little interest in reviving the Fandango character in any way, shape, or form.
