12 Superstars And Divas WWE Creative Have Completely Abandoned

2. Daniel Bryan

Rumour has it that Daniel Bryan has been cleared to return, and is now waiting to be brought back. If that's true, his absence clearly points to WWE Creative having no clue what to do with him, something which was actually apparent when he returned to action late last year. After the idiotic way he was treated in the Royal Rumble, Bryan was thrown into a solid enough feud with Roman Reigns which clearly came only as a result of the fans' backlash to what happened in that match. After that, though, it soon became apparent that there were no solid plans for Bryan, hence why he was thrown into that hard-to-watch silly midcard feud for the Intercontinental Championship, which also just so happened to revolve around the over the hill R-Truth "comically" stealing the title from loser champion Bad News Barrett. Bryan's injury shortly after WrestleMania means we never got the chance to see whether or not WWE Creative had any firm plans to do something significant with his run as Intercontinental Champion, but it's hard to escape the feeling that between where he was placed on the card during that event and his spate of injuries that he'll ever come close to the main event scene again. That's disappointing on a number of levels, especially as his feud with The Authority in late 2013/early 2014 might just be the best thing WWE Creative has done for years, even if the fans were largely responsible for how the whole thing played out.
