12 Ups And 16 Downs For WWE In 2021

13. 24/7 Title On Life Support

We’re well past the days when the 24/7 Championship was a genuinely fun and interesting part of Raw. Gone are the days when R-Truth, Jinder Mahal and Drake Maverick comically traded the title back and forth in unique and humorous skits.

These days, the title is rarely “defended.” If there is a “match,” it’s a simple rollup and that’s that. Worse, the 24/7 title spent the latter months of 2021 being held by Reggie, whose gimmick was flipping and jumping off of stuff to avoid other wrestlers, and Dana Brooke, who apparently can only be pinned by one person – Tamina.

To call this title and ideas for defenses/skits bankrupt would be generous. At this stage, it’s a bad joke that makes the product worse every time it’s on TV.
