12 Ups And 8 Downs From WWE Royal Rumble 2016

1. Stealing The Show

As mentioned earlier, Kevin Owens and Dean Ambrose deserve all the credit in the world for turning a Last Man Standing match into something truly special. The opening bout had fans rocking from bell to bell, and it helped make the Intercontinental Championship look like something that is desperately sought after. But in addition to the various moves detailed earlier, you have to take your hat off to a ton of little things that made this an awesome match: Owens sitting in a chair in the early going, putting his feet up; Ambrose throwing a chair at KO and then chopping him while he wore the chair around his neck; Owens yelling, €œI hate you!€ after Ambrose hit him with a chair, only for Dean to reply the same; and Michael Cole momentarily cheering for Ambrose after Owens took him out when tossed over the announce table. Little things can make a good match great. This already was a great match without these little things, making this a really fun, awesome match between two guys who really should be at the top of the card, headlining PPVs. Maybe someday soon€
