12 Wrestlers Who Will Eventually End Up In All Elite Wrestling

2. Joey Ryan

Joey Ryan has been one of the most prolific yet polarizing independent wrestlers in recent memory. While his stint in IMPACT years ago didn't last long, he gained notoriety soon after through his work in promotions such as Pro Wrestling Guerrilla, Ring Of Honor, and the National Wrestling Alliance.

But what really solidified Ryan as a viral sensation was his infamous "YouPorn Plex" maneuver executed over in Japan. Some thought he killed the business with that one move, and others found it incredibly entertaining. Either way, he was being talked about, and that's all that mattered for him to maintain momentum.

There's been a running gag on Being the Elite in recent months that he hasn't been the same since his tag team partner Candice LeRae jumped ship to NXT in early 2018. Before that, he was feuding with Adam Page on the show over how Page allegedly “killed” him, leading to his grand return at All In.

He even joked on one of the latest episodes that he isn't signed to an AEW deal … not yet, anyway. Look for that to change as soon as Double or Nothing. He won't be headlining any shows , but he can serve as both quality comic relief and a solid midcard competitor.
