Seth Rollins is the best in-ring performer in The Shield, and on that, there will be no argument. He has possibly the most unique move set of any performer to set foot in a WWE ring this century. When they rebranded their developmental territory into NXT, he was the first ever NXT Champion, and before that in FCW he won the FCW Heavyweight, FCW 15 and FCW Tag Team championships, making him the most decorated star in that brands history. WWE might well be playing the long game with him, but make no mistake, there is big gold in the future of Seth Rollins He has the indie experience to get over with the internet audience, having plied his craft in Ring Of Honour and Pro Wrestling Guerrilla before arriving on the Good Ship McMahon. And he has the necessary skills to get over with the casual audience in time. He may be a heel by default as a member of The Shield, but Seth Rollins as a solo performer is a natural babyface. In FCW and NXT, his gimmick of coming out moshing to hard rock music was one of individualism: in that spirit, he could be the ideal role model for the teenage audience, and even one of the main faces of WWE's "Be A Star" campaign. Rollins is still only 27 years old, and he has a lot yet to give, but I think when the initial push of Reigns is concluded, WWE will capitalise on Rollins. It may not be this year, but definitely the next, this guy is a Money In The Bank winner, and will be right there in the title picture
Stephen Maher has been a rock star, a bouncer, a banker and a busker on various streets in various countries. He's hung out with Robert Plant, he was at Nelson Mandela's birthday and he's swapped stories with prostitutes and crack addicts. He once performed at a Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras by accident. These days, he passes the time by writing about music, wrestling, games and other forms of nerdery. And he rarely drinks the blood of the innocent.
