12 WWE PPV Buys In 2015 Ranked (And What They Mean)
8. Payback - 57,000 Buys
Just slightly bettering Extreme Rules, WWE presented Payback a month later. The two similar numbers reflect the fact that WWE goes into a bit of a lull between WrestleMania and SummerSlam. This business cycle is something you'd think WWE would try and fight against, but the best they could offer at Payback was Seth Rollins vs. Roman Reigns vs. Dean Ambrose vs. Randy Orton. It isn't a terrible booking, but it is hardly the kind of thing that's going to draw huge interest. Four way bouts are typically average. The only certifiable star on the show was again John Cena, and again he was facing Rusev, which was a rematch that held little attraction.
