Not long after WrestleMania XX, JBL captured the WWE Championship. With that came a lot of mediocre WWE Championship matches to PPVs, and it wouldn't be until after 2005's 'Show Of Shows' that we'd have two great title matches in one night once again.

That happened at the RAW-exclusive Vengeance, at a time when John Cena had already been drafted to RAW but Batista would only be drafted to SmackDown a number of weeks later.

John Cena retained his WWE Championship against Chris Jericho and Christian in an entertaining Triple Threat Match that doesn't get enough love.

Later that night, Batista finally ended his classic rivalry with Triple H over the World Heavyweight Championship. Having already defeated his former mentor twice (at WrestleMania and Backlash), this time he did so inside Hell in a Cell.

Not long after his win, Batista would be drafted to the blue brand, where he'd spend the next number of months feuding with the likes of JBL and Eddie Guerrero.

Meanwhile, 'The Champ' stayed on RAW where he'd have much better matches over the next number of months with Jericho, Kurt Angle, Shawn Michaels and others.
