6. A Triumphant Return

The Bar Hardy Boyz

The Hardy Boyz' return match against The Bar was exactly what it should have been, as the two veteran teams delivered fast, fluid action to make the most of their curtailed runtime.

20 minutes of restholds and stalling would've killed the adrenaline from Matt's surprise appearance. Fortunately, the Hardys and The Bar recognised this, and while the heels spent time working heat on Jeff, the match never felt like it was getting bogged down. This was an action-first clash. It wasted little time as the two sides played their greatest hits, and WWE even nailed the booking by having Matt and Jeff go over.

There was one sloppy moment as Matt mistimed a kickout late on. Things immediately picked up again, as Jeff hit the Twist of Fate on Cesaro before his brother rolled Sheamus up for a close two-count. Then came a second Twist from Matt to the Irishman, then Jeff tagging in, hitting the top rope, and nailing the Swanton for the victory.
