5. The Tag Division Grows

SmackDown's tag division has quietly become one of the brand's biggest highlights over the past year or so, with the show's top tandems trusted to deliver between the ropes without the need for overwrought storylines and angles. A simple formula, but one that works, and the scene now looks deeper than ever.

The returning Hardy Boyz add veteran presence and prestige, and while the Aleister Black/Ricochet and Shinsuke Nakamura/Rusev combos feel thrown-together at the moment, they'll find cohesion and chemistry over the coming weeks. Throw champions The Usos, The New Day, and The Bar into the mix, and you're left with a stacked division.

This isn't great news for the likes of Sanity, the Colons, and Gallows and Anderson, who'll now find themselves increasingly marginalised on the blue brand. Those teams are small-fry compared to the others we've just mentioned, though. Some will likely transfer to Raw in the upcoming Superstar Shake-Up, and for now, the group's top tier is throbbing with potentially great matches and feuds.
