5. A Near-Banger

Tasha Steelz vs. Chelsea Green had the makings of a banger, but it wasn't quite there. There was just a little something missing, but nonetheless, it ruled for what it was, working well in the second semifinal spot.

Like her first-round outing, Green seemed to work stiff with Tasha, adding such intensity to her basement and missile dropkicks, and, to an extent, even her suicide dive. She flew onto Steelz and connected gorgeously, but one hiccup and she'd have gone flying onto the ramp. Still, she wasn't stiff in the sense that Tasha left the match bloodied.

By the match's end, it was nearing its banger status. Respective signature moves were kicked out of - for what it's worth, Tasha's crucifix driver again sort of just happened without any real anticipation - ultimately concluding when Tasha countered a top-rope I'm Prettier (it would've looked killer had she connected), instead landing on the former Knockouts Champion with a frog splash.

There was nothing wrong with the match to prevent it from being a total banger; it was just missing that extra flavouring. It benefitted from Mercedes Martinez being shown watching the match on a backstage monitor, furthering the importance of this tournament.
