If there’s anyone out there who thinks that the Undertaker/Shane McMahon buildup has been handled extremely well, there’s a bridge in Brooklyn that’s for sale.

Let’s face it: No matter how much the most positive, well-meaning fan wants to will it, the Hell in a Cell match for control of Monday Night Raw (and Taker’s career) has been poorly handled and could be fairly embarrassing if it isn’t executed perfectly. Undoubtedly, this match will be scripted and packed to the rafters with surprises, tricks and gimmicks to cover for the fact that it really is a 50+ part-time wrestler and a 46-year-old executive competing in what’s supposedly the biggest match at the biggest show for the biggest wrestling company in the world.

So, could Undertaker versus Shane fall into that “so bad it’s good” category? It’s possible that the match will be so overbooked that fans will simply enjoy the trainwreck aspect of it, the spectacle of run-ins, distractions and other extracurriculars. No one is expecting a clinical classic, so this might be our best bet.
