14 Things You Probably Missed From WWE SmackDown (July 16)

1. Shane's Stunner Botch

Here it is, the pièce de résistance of modern botches.

Kevin Owens isn't to blame in the slightest for this one. He went for the usual boot to the stomach and Stunner routine that's been law since Steve Austin introduced the kick in 1996/1997. Shane McMahon, somehow, forgot about that part and tried to bump early.

It looked sloppy as hell, especially when KO then picked Shane back up and dropped him properly with the Stunner as intended. WWE removed the flub from their subsequent replays of the spot. They'll surely do the same in any forthcoming pay-per-view hype packages.

Shane echoed his father's famous sell job back during the Attitude era, complete with fish-flopping aftermath.
