14 Ups & 3 Downs From NJPW/ROH G1 Supercard

9. In Which PCO Almost Dies

NJPW/ROH

The ROH vs. IWGP Tag Team Title four-way scramble over-delivered.

To what extent? Well, PCO did this, the mad c*nt:-

Jesus CHRIST. That man is 51 years old.

The former Quebecer and partner Brody King faced Guerrillas Of Destiny, The Briscoes, and SANADA and EVIL. They performed as if the preceding Junior Heavyweight title match had lit a fire beneath them and they were trying to outdo Bandido, Dragon Lee, and Taiji Ishimori because they worked at a breakneck pace, layering spots on top of spots on top of spots to craft a chaotic, out-of-control spectacle.

With the PCO bump and Enzo Amore/Big Cass invasion angle, Tama Tonga and Tanga Loa becoming double champions is somehow one of the match's smallest stories. That's a shame, because they, like their cohorts, worked their backsides off throughout. They killed it.
