14 Wrestlers Who Should Probably Regret Leaving WWE

6. Randy Savage

The "Macho Man" Randy Savage is one of the biggest names in the history of the pro wrestling business. While he had two incredible runs as WWE Champion in 1988-1989 and then in 1992, he was banished to the announce table after WWE started their talent transition to The New Generation. In 1994, Randy Savage decided that he was going to leave WWE for WCW because he wanted to be an active in-ring competitor. Savage had a lot left in his tank in the wrestling ring and WCW was offering large amounts of money in guaranteed contracts to former WWE wrestlers. While Savage was able to reap the benefits of the New World Order and headline a variety of huge WCW shows, he also never seemed to have the love and admiration from the fans that he did while in the WWE. Hulk Hogan always seemed to stop any added momentum that Randy Savage started to gain in WCW, much like he did in WWE a decade earlier. His legacy also became tarnished for years as the WWE rarely acknowledged his existence in the history of the company. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N8dB6ISezuI There are many rumors surrounding the relationship of the late Randy Savage and Vince McMahon. Savage never was able to fully return to the WWE before his untimely death in 2011, although he started to rekindle a relationship with the company through appearances in video games & use of his likeness in action figures. Longtime wrestling fans have to wonder how Randy Savage would have fared on the WWE roster if he would have been a member of The Attitude Era. The amount of epic storylines and angles that could have taken place involving The Macho Man could have altered the foundation of the pro wrestling business.
