15 Amazing Pro Wrestling NOAH Matches You Must See Before You Die

12. Kenta Kobashi Vs. Yuji Nagata - December 9, 2003

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W7VJsZieL6Y Nagata is one of the most versatile wrestlers on the entire planet, capable of playing any kind of character, wrestling as either a face or heel perfectly, and can wrestle in a plethora of different styles. Small wonder that he has been called €˜Mr. IWGP€™ for so many years. This made him an excellent opponent for then-GHC Heavyweight Champion Kenta Kobashi, and this match-up led to one of the most dramatic and exciting contest in NOAH history. This contest was filled with that €˜big match feeling€™, as it was an encounter between two legendary champions from two different major promotions. Imagine Sting facing Bret Hart during their peak years as WCW and WWF Champions, respectively, and that€™s what you€™d get with this match. The whole match is 30 minutes of intense back-and-forth action that doesn€™t let up. It features insane spots, including an Exploder Suplex from the top rope, some amazing moves off the entrance ramp, and some of the stiffest strike exchanges you€™ll ever see. The normally quiet Japanese crowd is lively and excited throughout this match, as the wrestlers involved pull off an excellent bout that shows just why Nagata was so respected at the time, and why Kobashi was such an excellent fighting champion.
