15 Former NFL Players In Vince McMahon's XFL
12. Marquette King
Among the talent taken in the 2020 XFL draft is one of the greatest NFL punters from recent years. Marquette King played six seasons in Oakland after going undrafted in 2012, playing every single game from 2013-17, though he did miss the 2012 season through injury.
His first full season saw King lead the league in yards per punt, followed by a league-wide best in total punt yards in 2014, and was voted a Second Team All-Pro in 2016. It was when the punter moved to Denver that his career in the NFL came to end. After just four games as a Bronco, King's contract was terminated due to a thigh injury.
The punter is now back in football with the St. Louis BattleHawks, taken during the XFL supplemental draft. Though punting is the last thing any team wants to do in an NFL game, a good punter can turn a bad situation into a very good one.
