15 Former NFL Players In Vince McMahon's XFL
11. Kony Ealy
During his short time in the National Football League, defensive end Kony Ealy enjoyed a relatively strong career. Selected by the Carolina Panthers in the 2014 drafts, just two spots ahead of fellow Superbowl loser Jimmy Garoppolo, Ealy became an important part of the team over the next three years.
After helping the Panthers to the Superbowl in 2015, the defensive end broke and made several new records for the big game. He tied the Superbowl record for sacks with three, and became the first player in the history of the NFL finale with an interception and multiple sacks.
It is no surprise that the Houston Roughnecks were interested in the relatively young player with more NFL experience than most in the draft. Despite not playing a competitive game of American football in three years, Ealy will be looking to make an impact in the XFL as one of the strongest defensive players in the game.
