5. Bobby Fish

Bobby Fish's torn ACL and MCL could've spelled disaster for the dominant Undisputed Era, who hoover up NXT titles with Dyson-like efficiency. Fortunately, WWE found a suitable replacement in Roderick Strong, who turned on partner Pete Dunne at TakeOver: New Orleans.

The 38-year-old Fish hasn't been completely inactive, and has made sporadic TV appearances to support his allies over the past few months. Still, he has a while remaining on his recovery timetable. This is a tough injury to battle back from, particularly for a performer of his age, so let's hope he hasn't lost anything.

Expected return: The final quarter of 2018.
