Most fans remember CM Punk's WWE debut as the night he turned up in the rebooted ECW. But his first step inside the WWE ropes actually happened much earlier. The night was April 11 2005, at a Sunday Night Heat show. He teamed with Russell Simpson, taking on the team of Maven and Simon Dean. As you'd expect, Punk and Simpson did the job. Nobody ever thought that Punk would go on to the success he has had. In fact, Triple H and Shawn Michaels were reportedly unimpressed with his work in that formative period.
