2. Hulk Hogan’s Random ‘Macho Man’ Impression
'Well let me tell you something, brother. Ya ain't the cream of the crop. Ooh yeah! Dig it!'.
Hulk Hogan may as well have uttered those words when he confronted The Great Khali during Raw's 15th anniversary celebrations on the 10 December 2007 show. Hogan made a shock return that night to fend off Khali and put over the current WWE roster as the best of all time.
Bizarrely, Hulk was kinda dressed like his old nWo Hollywood persona. He also randomly (very randomly) worked in an impersonation of old buddy-turned-rival Randy Savage by saying: "Never say never. Ooh yeah!". Hogan even did that mad finger gesture 'Macho Man' used to do when he was making a point.
It's for the best that WWE didn’t book Hogan vs. Khali on PPV in 2008. That would've been a disaster of epic proportions, and it might've been a toss up game of 'Who Has The Worse Back/Knees/Hips?'. Khali might actually have had Hulk licked there in terms of his knees - the giant could barely walk around the ring comfortably, let alone wrestle.
No doubt the Hulkster would've been able to squeeze something from him in the 1980s, but not by 2007. That thankfully elusive match wasn't the most interesting thing about Hulk's cameo though. It was the Savage impression that grabbed most attention, because it sort of seemed like Hogan was insinuating that he and Mach could go around the horn one more time.
That was never going to happen, of course, but Hulk doing Randy's gimmick was sure something.
