1. William Regal Stands Up To Triple H

You know it's on like neck bone (copyright: Booker T) when William Regal starts calling people "sunshine". Then-heel Regal stood up for Eugene in face of bullying from Triple H during the 2 August 2004 edition of Raw, and it was glorious. To his credit, Hunter unexpectedly stayed quiet as William tore him a new one on the mic.

Amongst other things, Regal referenced their time together as a tag-team in WCW ('an awful place - the nonsense that goes on there is unbelievable'), and said he wasn't going to stand idly by as 'The Game' intimidated "that poor boy" any longer. The way he stood up for Eugene and did so in his own unique style was spine-tingling stuff.

Regal didn't swear or make any grand promises other than taking the fight to Hunter, and his gentlemanly composure giving way to fury in the blink of an eye was pretty powerful. It wasn't often that William got babyface reactions, especially during that era, but the live crowd in San Antonio were all for it that night.

They wanted to see the one time Commissioner slap Triple H about.

Previously, Regal and Trips had worked a bout on the 28 June Raw. Eugene was special guest referee for that match, so the feud went on for a while. It was at its best when Willy told H to back off or face him like a man.
