15 Terrible Matches Triple H Wants You To Forget

2. Triple H Vs. The Ultimate Warrior - WrestleMania XII

The Ultimate Warrior has been immortalised and glorified by WWE over the past couple of years but he wasn't always a company favourite. Warrior caused havoc during his first two runs in the company and didn't make too many friends when he returned in 96, either. The lowly Hunter Hearst Helmsley was chosen to put Warrior over in his first WWF match in four years at WrestleMania 12. It took Warrior just over one minute to pin Triple H. It was a total squash match and Warrior even no-sold the deadly Pedigree. It hid Warrior's limitations and popped the crowd but The Game can't have been happy. Anyone who has seen The Self-Destruction of the Ultimate Warrior knows that Triple H wasn't too thrilled with it, as he called Warrior 'one of the most unprofessional guys' he had ever worked with (although he did make those comments back in 2000 as part of the pre-show coverage of WrestleMania 20000). Warrior claimed in a 2005 shoot interview that Triple H tried to get road agents to change the match and that he essentially confronted him about it and squashed him as planned. Triple H was instrumental in getting Warrior into the Hall of Fame in 2014, but he can't have been happy about having to do the job on the grandest stage.
