15 Things We Learned From WWE Unreal

6. Cena Was The Last To Know About His Turn

This is a mind-blowing thought, it really is.

Those who caught teasers for WWE Unreal would've already known this before sitting down to dig into the main meat of the doc series, but get this: John Cena was the last to know about his own stunning heel turn heading into Elimination Chamber. It's true. Triple H left Cena until last on the list when figuring out who was onboard with the idea.

In episode 4, Hunter reveals that he spoke to Nick Khan first. Once he had that stamp of approval, he went to The Rock and asked if he thought it'd be a good idea. The 'Final Boss' was all in. Almost alarmingly, rapper Travis Scott was Triple H's next stop off. The musician liked what he was hearing, and no wonder - he was getting to play a part in one of wrestling's most newsworthy turns ever.

Once Trav had excitedly said he couldn't wait, it was Cody Rhodes who learned about Cena's possible heel turn next. Cody liked it too, so Hunter finally got to John himself. Quite why Scott (of all people, a celebrity guest?!) got factored in before Cena is anyone's guess, and it almost sounds made up that JC was the last to hear about his own creative plans.

Why would Triple H lie though? Like, he was upfront and honest about a lot of things on Unreal, so it wouldn't have made much sense to fudge the timeline of Cena's heel turn when that was one of the biggest talking points Netflix was interested in featuring. Unreal would be the word.

It went Triple H/Ed Koskey/Bruce Prichard > Nick Khan > The Rock > Travis Scott > Cody Rhodes > The rest of WWE's roster > The janitor at Toronto's Rogers Centre > John Cena. Only kidding about the roster and janitor. Hopefully.
