15 Things We Learned From WWE Unreal

2. Cena’s Odd Travis Scott Comment

WWE Unreal Triple H The Rock Cody Rhodes

Listen closely enough on a quiet day and you may still hear the sound of millions scratching their heads over Travis Scott's inclusion during the main event of WrestleMania 41. The rapper interrupted Cody Rhodes vs. John Cena, walked slowly to the ring, pulled the referee out, then took a Cross Rhodes from a fired up Cody before Cena won the belt.

Meanwhile, The Rock (who had come out after Scott previously to add more credible star power to segments) was nowhere to be found. On Unreal, Cena offered a puzzling commentary on the musician's part in proceedings. According to JC, when Trav pulled the referee during his ‘Mania main event, fans were into it. “If they really hated Cody Rhodes, they would’ve cheered”, he said.

Fair play, but that’s surely ignoring the distaste most fans had for Scott even being involved in the match at all. The complete lack of 'Final Boss' also hurt. Scott slowly sauntering out then sticking his nose into the headliner on his own did nothing for it. Besides, Cena quasi-claiming that Travis was such a big heel that people cheered for Rhodes is ridiculous; wrestling fans were always going to choose Cody over some rapper they weren’t really into seeing anyway.

Bit of a bizarre piece of logic from Cena, and it has to be spotlighted.

It's almost like WWE wanted to protect Scott and make him look more important/impressive than he actually is on Unreal. That'd come back to bite them slightly, because it doesn't look like the rapper was serious about becoming an in-ring act after all.
