15 Things You Might Have Missed From Last Night’s WWE SmackDown

1. Neither Paige Nor Shane McMahon Were Present

Paige hasn't been around much since being announced as the new SmackDown General Manager two weeks ago. Last night, she wasn't there at all, and the only mention of the new GM came from her predecessor Daniel Bryan in a backstage promo.

On that note, where was Shane McMahon? For the first time in a long time, no authority figures were there to ensure the show ran smoothly.

That's not a complaint. WWE's reliance on the Commish/GM dynamic has become unhealthy for programming over the past few years, and it's nice to see an episode flash past without someone making matches or interrupting at key moments.
