After her WWF run came to an end, stories started to emerge over the next few years that claimed that Joanie Laurer was having some issues with substance abuse. In early 2005, Sean Waltman claimed that Joanie was dealing with drug and alcohol addiction. This was later admitted to by Laurer, and she even ended up appearing on VH1s Celebrity Rehab show in 2008. As well as drink and drugs, the former Chyna has also had battles with depression and was once taken to hospital after overdosing on sleeping pills. Like many professional wrestlers, Joanie Laurer has had many battles with her demons over the years. Heres hoping that Joanies problems are now firmly behind her.
