There's a place in wrestling for annoying gimmicks. As a manager, Bobby 'The Brain' Heenan was supposed to get your blood boiling with his ultra-obnoxious personality. The Miz, Mr. Perfect, Kerwin White, The Right to Censor stable, Chris Jericho in WCW, and literally hundreds of other gimmicks over the years were designed to irritate the audience in one way or another.

But what happens when a gimmick like that is completely overexposed? Well, it turns the annoying-with-purpose schtick into annoying-for-real-get-off-my-television levels of cringeworthy. Enter: Zack Ryder and his "Woo woo woo" catchphrase.

Ryder's gimmick -- that of the ultimate Long Island "broski" -- worked well as a mid-card act, but his hyper-guido persona was never going to carry him as a main eventer.

And that catchphrase? It was fun for a bit, but could you imagine hearing that constant refrain come out of his mouth to this day? It's a bummer Ryder's potential was never fully realized, but getting those monotone "woos" off TV was a nice silver lining.
