'WE'RE RICH, BABY!'.

The skits and promos worked by Jamie Noble (boy) and Nidia back in 2002-2003 were good, clean fun. Both hammed up stereotypical trailer trash gimmicks and showed significant chemistry, but nothing lasts forever in wrestling. When Nidia was kayfabe blinded by Tajiri’s mist on the 16 October 2003 SmackDown, Noble willingly put her in harm’s way to save his own skin. Thats's when Rey Mysterio told her what was going on, and the couple split.

It was risky, but initially it seemed WWE's plan would pay off; Noble beat Nidia in a ‘Blindfold Match’ at No Way Out 2004, but that was the last time both were featured heavily in their respective roles. Nidia was drafted to Raw and did nothing of note (other than cut a few Spanish-speaking promos) before being released on 3 November, and Noble was already released by that point. WWE cut him in September.

Jamie's since returned as more of a backstage agent and has carved out a successful career for himself in the spot, but his in-ring career was never the same once Nidia left his side. Looking back, WWE should've just kept the duo together for as long as possible. They easily could've reconnected after the blindness angle, and it would've been some laugh to see a broken hearted Noble pining after her.

The pop when he then won the Cruiserweight Title back due to Nidia would've been fierce, but it wasn't to be. WWE binned their characters with a view to making Nidia a bigger star on her own, then they binned her completely when that didn't click.
