Sami Zayn has been sidelined with an injury since shortly after his match against John Cena for the US Title during the summer, a crippling loss for both WWE and NXT for sure, considering Sami was one of the most popular stars on the roster. However, Zayn has recently made his in-ring return, and has even been mixing it up with the likes of NXT Champion Finn Bálor on the UK tour in December. Read any review and you'll gather that Zayn is back in a damn big way, with the same awe-inspiring ability inside the squared circle. The question remains; will Sami continue where he left off as the main attraction of NXT, in a quest to win back the NXT Title? Or will Sami Zayn skip the formalities and jump straight into the deep end of the WWE's main roster, and make his mark on the company once and for all? Thankfully, it looks like he'll be sticking in NXT for now, just to remind us of what we've been missing out on over the last half-year. It'll be great to see Sami on Monday Nights, but as with all previous NXT stars, he'll be forced to compete in shorter, less competitive matches on the main roster, so it's best to make the most of his time in NXT. Owens may have lost the Intercontinental Championship at TLC, but perhaps the re-debut of Sami Zayn this coming year could reignite the incredibly personal and hard-hitting rivalry between the two men from early 2015. Sami's injury seems to be what prevented the feud from having a definitive, decent ending, so to see the two finish things off on a bigger stage would be spectacular. No matter where he ends up, the fact that Sami Zayn is back and ready to go is an exciting prospect. He is one of the cornerstones of NXT's immense popularity, and we should all be on the edges of our seats to see where he takes us upon his return to action.
