The Undertaker has been tying up loose ends lately, getting his stride back at WrestleMania, finishing his rivalry with Brock Lesnar and returning to the very event where he debuted, Survivor Series. Since he was really only known in the last few years for competing at 'Mania, many believe that the legend could be hanging up his boots, and if you think about it, the mere idea of the Undertaker retiring would change the landscape of the WWE. The Undertaker is the last remnant of the most beloved era in wrestling history. He is the only man that still embodies the same electricity and aura about him when he steps in the ring, as he did in the 90's. He's also the only one that's stayed away from social media for the most part, keeping the mystery alive, and though he may be up in age, he still manages to put on some of the best matches year-round, as seen from his Slammy Award-winning Hell in a Cell bout with Lesnar. But if the last few months are any indication, a huge bombshell is going to be dropped in the form of The Undertaker's official departure. With The Undertaker potentially packing it in soon, it will officially cement us into the next generation of WWE, and do what many believed should have been done at WrestleMania 28, officially "Ending An Era", as one of the greatest performers in the history of the business walks away once and for all. It could be that we're looking too far into it, and the Deadman isn't nearly finished yet, so take these words with a grain of salt, but for now, it's best to appreciate what we have and when the time comes, enjoy what could very well be The Undertaker's last rivalry and match at the Showcase of the Immortals.
