5. The Von Erichs

In early '80s Texas, Fritz Von Erich had a bulletproof booking strategy: feature as many of his handsome, horselike sons as possible. Eventually, all of his boys were wrestlers, including the ones who absolutely shouldn't have been, so what's an exploitative dad to do? He couldn't just father a few more boys -- babies can't pop a gate -- but he had a great idea on how to bring some more Von Erichs into the fold: lie.

Enter Lance and Waldo Von Erich, a supposed father/son tandem previously known as Ricky Vaughan and Mr. Zimm. Fritz pushed them as legitimate Von Erichs for a few years, but the fans knew they weren't the real deal and never really accepted them.

Ultimately, Lance decided that since he was billed as a Von Erich, he should be making Von Erich money. Fritz disagreed, and he was swiftly ushered out of World Class, which was itself ushered out of existence.
