16 Things You Probably Missed From WWE SmackDown (August 20)

AEW references, drunk fans, 'Shorty G' prep and the Queen Of The Ring...

Elias Kevin Owens Shane McMahon

Wrestling has a terrible habit of making babyfaces look like complete idiots.

Kevin Owens was tricked yet again by nefarious heel mega-mind Shane McMahon on the latest SmackDown, and it barely made sense. Sure, it was realistic that KO, having had a week to think about his $100,000 fine at home, would reconsider his own behaviour, but why was he suddenly so trusting of someone who'd been a total d*ck to him for months?

The title of this article looks at things you "probably missed". One of those could easily be why Owens thought Shane-O had become a good person overnight. That doesn't make the cut compared to the 16 on tap here though; there are funny fan signs, production gaffes, AEW references and some prep for a possible new gimmick on offer.

Other things you might've missed include Charlotte Flair putting over the women's division (and maybe coming up with a new tournament concept WWE can use), The Revival being excellent at their jobs, fans repping NXT's upcoming debut on USA Network and Kofi Kingston forgetting how to work a chair...
