Michael Cole had another, less-obvious zinger later in the show when discussing The Revival's recent arguments against gimmick matches in WWE's tag division. The announcer said Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson are struggling to come across as "The Elite of tag-team wrestling" like they believe they are.

That had to be a dig at AEW, surely.

Of course, elite is a word in WWE's lexicon, and one they've used many times before. Wait, "lexicon". This entire entry is a reference to Tony Khan's company. Don't miss the Royal Rumble, people. It's sure to be dynamite, WWE will kick WrestleMania season into full gear and it could spark a revolution that's worthy of breaking out a little bit of the bubbly.
