His job was to put over Triple H, but WWE also threw in a whole convoluted storyline about Kane having an ex girlfriend called Katie Vick. The story went that Kane had killed her in a car accident. Triple H then implied that Kane had sex with the dead body. To make this point, he filmed a video in which he dressed as Kane and entered a funeral parlour. He threw open a casket lid and revealed a mannequin. He then proceeded to imitate having sex with the Katie Vick mannequin. This was like career poison to Kane. It made his character out to be a necrophiliac, and then he had to go on and do the job to Hunter. It made zero sense.
