Kane got over as a merciless big man. But within just a couple of years, Vince McMahon couldn't resist turning the Big Red Machine into a comedy character. It has been a theme that has repeated itself. Whenever Kane has had a serious push, it has inevitably always been followed with a run as a comic relief act. That's diluted his meaning over time. Nobody can take Kane too seriously, as we've witnessed him doing so many ridiculous things. He's probably better remembered as a cutesy babyface than a ruthless heel. Particularly in the last few years, we've witnessed Kane in a romantic clinch with AJ Lee and attending anger management lessons with Daniel Bryan. His comedy duo act with Bryan was a lot of laughs, but it is also a million miles removed from Kane's peak.
