17 WWE Superstars Who Mysteriously Lost A Name
1. (Kane) The Undertaker
Yes, it's true: the most famous improper noun in all of professional wrestling came packaged with an Actual Person Name, and a familiar one to boot. Though he famously made his debut at Survivor Series 1990, Taker had filmed a number of pre-taped matches before this where he was managed by Brother Love and announced as "Kane the Undertaker." So many questions. To wit:
Did he choose to use his brother's name as a pseudonym, believing him to be dead, a la Dale Gribble and Rusty Shackleford? Where did Brother Love find even find him? Taker's not attending any tent revivals. New conspiracy theory: Brother Love looks kind of like Paul Bearer if someone left him out in the sun for a week, so they're secretly related, and Love was the owner of the funeral home where Taker and Paul worked and Kane was chained in the basement. Oh, but "Taker's parents died in a fire", you say, but I say Brother Love got his epidermis burned off but survived, and then found the Lord, and then decided to to get into wrestling, the real family business.
Mystery: solved.
