2 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Rampage (Feb 3)

3. Pleased To See Daniels, But...

Christopher Daniels Rush
AEW

...the main event wasn't as good at it looked on paper.

Christopher Daniels is a bonafide wrestling legend, but his match vs. Rush was pretty much an extended beatdown angle more than a proper showing. Rush choked/whipped him with cables, and Vance combined with Jose The Assistant to act as ringside pests throughout the entire duration.

Did it work? Hmm, well it does give Rush some steam heading into his match with Bryan Danielson on Wednesday night if nothing else. It became obvious early on to fans around ringside that Daniels wasn't gonna get many licks in though, and that hurt their overall interest in what was happening.

Also, what was has happened to Vance? His departure from The Dark Order and new ties to Rush etc have been downplayed recently. There isn't much going on with him anymore, and that means he's turning into Jose with muscles.
