2 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Rampage (March 8 - Results & Review)

Ups...

2. The New Set

AEW Rampage New Set 2024
AEW

AEW's new set debuted on Dynamite this past Wednesday, so it was something fans had already clapped eyes on by the time Rampage aired. Still, most would agree it's an improvement over the previous look. That one was kinda dull, especially for 'C' level fare like Friday night's show.

The twin tunnel look is clean but vibrant, and certainly casts minds back to AEW's original stage setups when the promotion first launched. That's no bad thing, 'cause the company had a freshness to it back then that has vanished over time. Oh, if only Tony Khan could get that back, eh?

A new set isn't going to do it, but shaking things up visually can't hurt. Now, if Tony really wants to mix things up on Rampage, he'll start re-formatting where the pic-in-pic ad breaks go so his content isn't choked by them every single week. That's a huge concern, but apparently not to those calling the shots.

Keep changing the aesthetics though, AEW. Change will help.
