2. The Burial Continues

You can almost hear Vince McMahon coming through the headset whenever one of the announcers says something particularly unkind about Sasha Banks & Naomi.

Once again on Raw, Corey Graves was tasked with serving as Vince’s avatar, making a very awkward and clunky comment on the former tag champs walking out last week. He made the connection while Nikki ASH and Doudrop made their way to ringside for Nikki’s match against Alexa Bliss, with Graves noting how both women were supposed to be in the six-pack challenge last week.

This allowed him to repeat the company line about how they walked out, relinquished the tag titles, disappointed the WWE Universe and were suspended indefinitely, and there will be a future tournament to crown new champs.

Maybe it’s just this writer, but maybe constantly bringing this up isn’t a great way to eventually try to mend fences, and if your goal is to bury them, maybe that’s not smart either, especially if other wrestlers – such as Naomi’s husband and one-half of WWE’s undisputed tag champs – sympathize with them.

Just shut up about it until it’s time to start the tournament. By the way, since WWE brought it up, how long until that tourney starts? Maybe they need to actually dig up enough teams to start one…
