20 Best WWE Matches Of The Decade (So Far)

8. Brock Lesnar Vs. John Cena - Extreme Rules 2012

Former UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar shocked the world by showing up on the post-WrestleMania Raw in 2012 and F5ing John Cena. The reaction to Lesnar was incredible. They followed this with several very realistic in-ring confrontations and a genius Lesnar sit-down interview where he talked smack about Cena. Interest in their Extreme Rules outing was high but Brock's return was a bittersweet experience. He completely dominated Cena in a match unlike anything previously seen in a WWE main event. It was more of a fight than a straight wrestling match but it was an undoubtedly refreshing change of pace. WWE acquired Lesnar's services at great expense, which makes their decision to job him out in his comeback so ridiculous. Lesnar really should have got the W here but WWE probably felt that Cena needed it more after losing to The Rock at WrestleMania XXVIII. Still, the nonsensical result doesn't take away from the result and, besides, Lesnar would get his victory back over Cena in dramatic fashion at SummerSlam 2014.
