WrestleMania 31 has gained a much-needed boost with the news that Brock Lesnar has renewed his contract. After much talk that Lesnar was going to jump ship, potentially retiring or making a big-money return to the UFC, the current WWE World Heavyweight Champion has decided to stay put for the time being. It's particularly a relief for those suffering flashbacks to WrestleMania XX, in which Brock competed in a horribly received match with the also-departing Goldberg, fans having caught wind of either man's desire to leave. Lesnar's re-signing has sparked fresh rumours of a surprise win in Sunday's main event against Roman Reigns, as well as talks of a possible face turn in the near future. Whether this results in an increased schedule for Brock remains to be seen, although it seems doubtful, especially since his reason for not returning to the UFC was a matter of age and fatigue. Regardless, the fact that Brock is staying put in the WWE is good news for now. He retains a legitimate intimidation factor in contrast to much of the family-friendly roster, a uniqueness which remains compelling in today's PG era.
